On my first photo outing of 2013 I managed to catch one of the new Canadian Pacific's GP20C-ECO's that had just been delivered! Here she is along side CP's locomotive shop in St. Paul, MN waiting to be set up for operation. Some of her other sisters were there, but were buried back in the yard that was inaccessible, so I was very thankful that I was able to catch at least one of them! Not that is was easy though. With the wind howling out of the north, the temperature at 10 and the windchill well below zero, fine snow whipping around, I climbed on the roof of my Durango to get this shot! I had to since she was on the furthest track and a ground level shot would have had the fuel tank and trucks cut off be the rail in the foreground. Hmm... is that a committed photographer or a photographer that should be committed!

She's beautiful! It's been a long time since I've seen great photos of locomotives. Dang...You've got a few...looks like I have to add you to my watch list. (It's nice seeing some current photos of locos!)
