Wisconsin Central SD45u 7511 by DDL-Photography Wisconsin Central SD45u 7511 by DDL-Photography
WC 7511 sits in New Brighton, MN on March 12, 2005 waiting for a new crew along with WC 6005. WC 7511 was built in July 1971 as Burlington Northern 6517. After being retired and sold from BN she became NRE 6517 then to WC 6517 then WC 6511 and finally WC 7511. When WC was upgrading the SD45's the first number was dropped and replace by a 7 and they were reclassified a SD45u.

That's right! I forgot that the Wisconsin Central had an overseas railroad. At least there is still some memory of the WC over there!
